De Kleine Komedie

INTOS was asked to renew the interior of the dressing rooms and the artist foyer of the small cabaret theater in Amsterdam: De Kleine Komedie. Which means ‘The Small Comedy’.

Customer request

De Kleine Komedie decided to renew the interior of the dressing rooms and the artist foyer. INTOS was asked to make and install all furniture for this small but world-famous (in Amsterdam) theater. The four dressing rooms needed a furniture piece that combined a table top, basin, lightboxes and a large mirror all build into it. The foyer had to become a atmospheric space with a pantry and room to sit and relax.

Approach

Because the space in De Kleine Komedie is very limited, as much work as possible was done at the workshop of INTOS. Installing the furniture was a challenge because of the small corners and narrow hallways. With a lot of patience and cooperation the areas and the furniture was installed successfully.

Result

‘The result are beautiful atmospheric rooms where artists can prepare and rest before their show.’ Says Dennis Plug, Project Director at INTOS.
