Figi Hotel

INTOS renovated the furniture of the Figi Hotel in Zeist, The Netherlands. The original cupboards, beds and tables were repolished to look like new again. The renovation was completely finished in august 2019.

Client request

The Figi Hotel in Zeist, Utrecht needed to be renovated. All 97 hotel rooms had to be renewed in the style of the theater. The hotel is very proud of its rich family history and wanted to preserve this as much as possible. INTOS was asked to renovate and modernize a large part of the original furniture.

Approach

The hotel kept running during the renovation, so the renovation was planned per floor. This assured a minimum amount of hindrance for the guests. We removed the wooden furniture from all the rooms of the concerning floor, transported the furniture back to our workshop to refurbish them and make them look as new again. After that we replaced the furniture in the now renovated rooms. Every floor was completely renovated within four weeks time.

Next to renovating the hotel rooms, we also placed a new counter in the theater and a large bar in the restaurant.

Result

The renovation of all the hotel rooms was completed within three months time. The result is a modern version of the original family hotel. The furniture has been recycled, but they look as if they were new and now have a modern look.
