Azurite, House of Delft

In the iconic building House of Delft was INTOS involved from the very beginning as coordinating general contractor for the completion of various spaces. When plans emerged for a fine-dining restaurant led by top chef Mario Knight, INTOS was again asked to realise this special project as well. This is how restaurant Azurite took shape, an exclusive culinary destination where craftsmanship, design and gastronomy come together. After an intensive construction and fitting-out period, the restaurant opened on September 2, 2025 officially opened its doors to the public.

Customer needs

The client wanted to place a small-scale top restaurant in Huis van Delft that would stand out in experience, quality and atmosphere. The desire was for a setting in which the very best ingredients, a refined ambiance and a strong focus on the guest are central as a complement to the existing catering facilities in the building. The client was looking for a partner who could not only realise the interior constructively and technically, but also take care of the materialisation, finishing and furnishing in detail.

Our approach

Based on the interior design of Framework Studio, As the coordinating main contractor, INTOS took on the complete finishing and furnishing. From the shell, we took care of the entire execution: sand-cement screed floors, metal stud walls and ceilings up to window frames, doors, tiling and plastering, painting, upholstery and the permanent furnishing including decorative concrete elements.

Materialisation was central: an elegant mix of stainless steel, concrete and warm oak forms the basis of the interior. This achieved a modern, understated yet warm look, in which the culinary story plays the leading role.

Delivery & results

The result is an exclusive restaurant with just nine tables, seating guests of up to 24 people per evening. The interior exudes tranquillity and sophistication, precisely to make the most of the dishes and the experience. A special element in the overall design is the wine collection of over 12,000 bottles, making it one of the largest in the Netherlands, seamlessly integrated into the interior.

The combination of craftsmanship, thoughtful materials and a strong concept produced a venue where gastronomy, design and experience come together.
