CRH, a global player in building materials, moved 30 to 40 offices in Europe into one head office in the Netherlands, Amsterdam. This head office had to become a place where employees like to work and where the quality of their own building materials had a central position in the design. The head office in Dublin was the example for this new office. In collaboration with the architect HJL and the contractor Structure Tone, INTOS was asked to realize the entire interior.

Approach

In order to be able to deliver this interior from start to finish, INTOS worked closely with the contractor and architect for more than a year. In the preliminary phase, the office in Dublin was visited to taste the atmosphere there and have a close look at the furniture. After the design has been made practically feasible and the search for the right materials and processing was fulfilled, the complete interior has been realized in just four months time! INTOS built the entire interior of the company restaurant, two reception desks, all pantries and the meeting and call areas. A special feature of this project was the use of raw building materials, such as reinforcing steel and concrete. Also the short timeframe in which it had to be realized was challenging. Because of that it was essential to coordinate all the activities with the large number of suppliers on site at the same time in a right way.

Result
